Romeyka Project
Promoting the research of an endangered language.
Getting the Word Out
Brief
Romeyka is a rare and endangered Greek variety found in north-eastern Turkey with only 4-8 thousand native speakers. This project run by Cambridge University, needed a new website that gave it a modern appearance which engaged with potential contributors and local speakers in order to aid the documentation and publication of research.
Approach
We curated the current website information to craft a visually engaging home page, filled with beautiful imagery to convey the remote nature of the project and help visitors navigate to the relevant pieces of content.
The site also included a blog so the team could promote news and events.
Outcome
A modern, crisp WordPress website provides Professor Sitaridou the a professional online platform from which to promote her project’s research. The use of bright imagery, makes the site more visually engaging, and helps contrast the larger areas of text.
Modern, Responsive Design
All of our websites are designed to look great on desktop, tablet and mobile. This was particularly important for Planning Learning Spaces, as this enabled people to stay up to date with all news and events at all times.
